Washing, packaging and delivery

Washing your rented clothes

Our clothes are cleaned in the most environmentally friendly way - using efficient wet cleaning (never toxic dry cleaning) with eco-friendly detergents. Our detergents are non-biological and do not contain any petrochemicals, enzymes, bleaches, phosphates, parabens, SLS/SLES, palm oil or microplastics - perfect for sensitive skin.

We also use a system which reduces microfibre shedding and prevents up to 31% of any microfibres released from going down the drain and into the waterways.

You can do your bit here as well by washing the clothes on low, air drying them and protecting them from stains to prolong their life.

Whenever possible we will repair clothes to ensure they stay good as new for as long as possible. If repair isn't possible, we will try to upcycle them into something new, or as a last resort, recycle them.

Rental packaging

We want to make renting baby clothes as sustainable as possible, which means examining all of our emissions at every stage. Packaging is obviously key to make sure your baby clothes arrive in perfect condition. The bags we use are plastic free, made from cornstarch, and can be reused to send your baby clothes back. At the end of their life they can be composted at home or commercially. Our stickers are even eco-friendly as the paper used is recycled and printed with vegetable-based inks.

Delivering and returning your clothes

We use Evri to deliver your little one's clothes whose fleet includes 168 fully electric vans. However this is one area we need to improve on, as our delivery is not carbon neutral. We know this is a large part of our carbon footprint and so will be addressing it as soon as possible. Your free return can be dropped off at your nearest Evri parcelshop or locker which hopefully prevents an extra journey being made in the car to the post office.
